Part-Time Teller

Department: Thornydale Financial Center
Location: Tucson, AZ

Continuously build, retain, and enhance member relations through the processing of member transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.), while promoting Pima Federal’s products and services. 

Essential Functions: (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.) 

Receive and process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check-cashing, loan payments, mortgage payments, HELOC payments, line of credit advances, HELOC advances, and shared branching transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures. 

Ensure accuracy in all transactions and follow all established cash-handling procedures, security policies, and balancing requirements. 

Answer questions from members regarding their accounts and credit union services and policies. Cross-sell products and services whenever possible. Direct problems to the appropriate department or supervisor. 

Update member information when needed and route updates to appropriate departments. 

Scan all checks received daily. 

Assist in counting vault cash, cash dispensers, and cash shipments. 

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Six months of cash-handling experience. 

Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 

Ability to effectively resolve member issues with patience, empathy, tact, and professionalism. 

Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently. 

Ability to deal with a variety of situations and solve practical problems. 

Ability and initiative to quickly learn new products, services, and procedures. 

Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred. 

Working knowledge of Symitar (Episys) preferred. 

Compliance Responsibilities: 

Understand and adhere to legacy Pima Federal compliance standards as they appear in the Risk Management Information and Security Policies, Employee Handbook, and Security Policies.

Keep abreast of all federal, state, and Pima Federal regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified; understand and adhere to BSA/OFAC regulations and standards, and attend all required training.
